Service Opportunity on Saturday December 9th
Troop 210 has been asked by the
Pennsbury School District and Robert Beam (Gifted teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt)
to help install benches, tables and trees for a memorial garden at the Eleanor
Roosevelt school on Walton Drive. This garden will be dedicated next
spring in memory of Nate DeTample, a friend and eagle scout from our
council. Nate was tragically killed while on active duty in Iraq in August
of 2005. We will be meeting at the school play ground area at 9:00 am on
Saturday December 9th to work on the garden. We need all the help that we
can get, including any adults that can spare a few hours. Will will be
digging holes to set the benches/table into concrete along with planting
trees. We are in need of a power auger if
possible? If not, I have one posthole digger and if anyone else has one it
would help speed the process. If you can bring hand tools such
as rakes and shovels it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
